Are you passionate about creating new business in the sustainability industry?
Our client is the Association of Building Sustainability Assessors (ABSA) a well regarded not for profit membership association that accredits and supports build and design professionals who specialise in assessing the environmental impact and sustainability of buildings across Australia. ABSA have a senior management position available to help oversee the strategic direction of the national organisation and will play a leading role in establish business operations in Victoria (as well as nationally).
This role will report to the Chief Executive Officer.
Critical deliverables will include:
The primary function of this role is to provide leadership and oversee the strategic direction and further develop existing and new accreditation related program activities for the ABSA. As a new senior position in the organisation this role works closely with other activity managers to make accreditation a stable and core function of the Association.
Accountabilities are in the following areas:
- Provide strategic direction and leadership of the existing accreditation programs
- Develop and implement these strategies to grow and improve accreditation and related services within the sustainability industry
- Identify, pursue and implement new accreditation and related opportunities in the sustainability industry
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in accreditation programs
- Work closely as a member of the management team to implement aspects of the strategic vision of the organisation through accreditation and related services
The ideal candidate with have a minimum of 3-5 years management experience in a commercial business environment with strong project management skills and be able to manage and live with chaos and uncertainty. A clear understanding of the strategic considerations of a business and associated industry knowledge are preferred for this role.
