Reporting to the Executive Manager Corporate Social Responsibility, the CSR Manager will be responsible for assisting the Executive Manager in the implementation of the group’s CSR strategy, including the operation of the Principles for Responsible Investing (PRI), measuring and reporting CSR progress against the plan, and  engaging and communicating with stakeholders.
This newly created role has a strong focus on implementation, communication (internal and external) and change management with a particular emphasis on the following:

  • Aligning CSR thinking and analysis with the organisation’s strategy
  • Implementing specific programs including sustainability reporting and assurance and community engagement
  • Effective engagement and communication with stakeholders;
  • Implementing an internal sustainability program to measure and reduce energy and resource usage
  • Implementing a responsible investment program, a community engagement strategy and a stakeholder relationship management strategy
  • Managing the communication of strategies, detailed annual plans and budgets for CSR that are consistent with the business plan
  • Maintaining effective relationships with key contacts and relevant third parties (eg. customers, suppliers, regulators) to produce successful business outcomes and results
  • Identifying, recommending and implementing process improvements to the CSR function
  • Assisting with the development and ongoing management of processes that support the application of an integrated CSR strategy

The ideal candidate:

With graduate qualifications (preferably gained in communications, business or sustainability), you have strong project management experience with a demonstrated track record of implementing a CSR strategy across an organisation, with a particular emphasis on the communication component (internal and external communication). You have strong relationship management skills and are able to interact with a wide range of stakeholders whilst effectively managing priorities and expectations. You are a confident communicator who is outcome focused and demonstrate strong influencing skills. Although not essential, experience of working within a financial services environment and an understanding of UNPRI will be highly regarded. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual who is able to listen and learn in order to build useful partnerships. The ability to build trust with key stakeholders and show empathy are key attributes required for this role.
